A Dress! Argh!

Oh! To dress like Audrey!

My brother is getting married in a few weeks and I just realized that even though I am not in the wedding party, I desperately need a dress since this is going to be a pretty formal affair. My dress requirements are thus:

-Modest (of course)
-Long enough to fit my long legs and not look awkward
-I can breastfeed in it
-Size 6-8

Ok, I need your help ladies! I have a very short amount of time to find this dress in! I found this one, but I am not sure if it will be nice enough for the wedding. Help me!!!

Honestly, i'm a fan of separates. For one you can nurse in them, but you can also get different sizes for the top/skirt (or get the skirt in tall or whatever).
For my bridesmaids we ordered from a company that makes dresses for formal choirs, something like these guys http://www.choir-martaccessories.com/formal_wear.html#skirts (scroll down they do have separates) One real perk of those is that they tend to be machine washable. :) They don't have huge color variety, but they are pretty affordable as formal wear goes.

Good luck!

that pic of audrey is where penelope cruz got her inspiration for her dress at the oscars. (yes, I'm a loser.)

I found this one: http://www.boscovs.com/StoreFrontWeb/Product.bos?assortmentDepartmentNumber=1225000&assortmentId=3&itemNumber=15892&type=Product

I'll email you some more later.

Um, ya, I love Audry H. and that dress!!!
The one you chose is a little informal. When Tyler and I went to the Opera I went to "Decades" in SLC and found a vintage 50's dress. If you don't have anything like that (which I doubt you do in Gillett) check out the thrift stores....you never know. Check out Etsy too.

I don't know how to help, myself. When I was in a friend's wedding party last year, My mom sewed a dress for me, and we put snaps in the front so I could breastfeed.

I have a formal looking one that has buttons going down to just under my breasts so that I can pop out a boob and breastfeed if necessary :). Maybe look for something that has got some buttons down the front.

I have a ton of formals from High school that are really cute. They are size 6-8. If you are interested let me know and I can take a pic of them and send them to you.

Carrie-you have no idea how many enemies you just made by confessing your dress size-and after a baby too! (My vote is with separates, a floor length color that can recreate itself in all seasons perhaps, and a sassy splash of color to top it off.)
